How long does delivery take?

a. For items in stock, delivery will take 3–7 business days.
b. For custom-made orders, lead times vary depending on the product:
– Upholstered sofas and chairs: 6–8 weeks
– All other custom furniture: 2–5 weeks
If your custom order is ready sooner than expected, we’ll ship it immediately to ensure faster delivery.
c. For pre-orders, the expected delivery timeframe will be clearly stated at checkout. While we aim to meet these dates, some factors may be beyond our control — but we’ll always communicate openly and keep you updated on any changes.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order has been processed, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a tracking number.

Do you ship anywhere in South Africa?

Yes, we offer nationwide delivery throughout South Africa. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on your location.

Do you ship outside of South Africa?

We currently do not offer international shipping. However, if you love something and live outside SA, please contact us — we can connect you with a recommended courier company. All international shipping, duties, and customs clearance will be your responsibility.

How do pre-orders work?

From time to time, items may go out of stock due to high demand. When this happens, we’ll open pre-orders prior to a specified cut-off date, and the estimated delivery timeframe will be clearly displayed on the product page.

As many of our products are sourced internationally, lead times can vary — but we promise they’re worth the wait.

Can I return an order?

Yes, absolutely.

You have 7 days from delivery to request a return for items purchased online.

To start a return, please email info@movaliving.co.za with your order number.

Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resaleable condition.

What if my item is damaged or defective?

We take great care in packaging, but if your item arrives damaged or faulty, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue.

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you have a six-month warranty on all items that are defective or not of acceptable quality. You may choose a repair, replacement, or refund.

We’ll arrange collection at our cost and keep you informed every step of the way.

How much do you charge for delivery?

a. We charge a standard delivery fee of R150 for orders within South Africa.

b. Furniture and made-to-order items will be quoted separately, based on size, weight, and destination.

I received a gift and need to return it. May I?

Gifts are non-refundable, but you may exchange them for another item.

If there’s a balance remaining, we’ll issue it as a Mova gift card.

All courier costs for gift returns are for the customer’s account.

What if I’m not there to receive my order?

If you won’t be available, please ensure someone is present to accept delivery on your behalf.

If no one is available, our courier will contact you to re-book delivery.

Please note that re-delivery fees may apply.

Do you assemble furniture on delivery?

Standard delivery does not include assembly or packaging removal.

We recommend two-person assembly for larger items.

If you’d like to arrange assembly, please emailinfo@movaliving.co.zabefore delivery and we’ll advise on availability and cost.

What if I want to cancel my order?

You may cancel any standard order before it has been dispatched.

For pre-orders or made-to-order items, cancellation is possible before production begins. Once production has started, cancellation fees may apply to cover material and handling costs.

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Yes, if the order has not yet shipped. Please email us as soon as possible with your order number and updated address.

Once an item has been dispatched, the address cannot be changed.

Will the wood or fabric look exactly like the photos?

Natural materials such as solid oak, walnut, rattan, and natural fabrics have individual grain and tone variations.

Slight differences in colour or texture are not considered defects — they’re part of what makes each Mova piece unique.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes — Mova gift cards are available in set or custom amounts and can be used online at checkout.

Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.

How long will my refund take?

Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method.

You’ll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

How do I request my personal information under POPIA?

In line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us atinfo@movaliving.co.za.

We’ll acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Do you offer custom sizes or finishes?

Yes — many of our furniture pieces can be customised.

Please reach out to us for details on available sizes, finishes, and lead times.

Note that custom-made items are non-returnable except in cases of defect or damage under the CPA.

What happens if I miss my delivery?

If the courier cannot deliver after multiple attempts, your order may be returned to our warehouse.

We’ll contact you to arrange re-delivery — additional fees may apply.
