1. Shipping Information
In-Stock Products
Orders containing in-stock products will be shipped within 3–7 business days from our warehouse. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking details.
Made-to-Order and Pre-Order Products
Products marked as made-to-order or pre-order will display their estimated delivery timeframes at checkout. As your order nears completion, we’ll provide an update to confirm the expected delivery date. Once your items arrive at our warehouse, they will be shipped immediately, and you’ll receive tracking confirmation.
Lead times for made-to-order products are estimates and may vary slightly due to material availability or production delays beyond our control.
Please note that delivery dates are approximate and not guaranteed. Mova (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for delays caused by courier services, customs, supplier shortages, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Split Deliveries
If your order includes both in-stock and pre-order items, these may be shipped separately to ensure you receive available items sooner.
Delivery Partners and Timelines
We work with trusted courier partners across South Africa to ensure safe and timely delivery. Delivery times typically range from 2–5 business days after dispatch, depending on your location.
Please note that courier services provide delivery only to your door or ground-floor entrance. They do not unpack, assemble, or move items into specific rooms. Customers are responsible for arranging assembly or furniture placement after delivery.
For oversized deliveries, please ensure that doorways, stairwells, and access routes are sufficient for safe delivery. If access is restricted and delivery cannot be completed, re-delivery fees will apply.
Oversized or Made-to-Order Furniture
Certain larger or made-to-order furniture pieces may require special handling or dedicated freight delivery. As a result, delivery fees for these items may be higher than standard shipping rates.
Final shipping costs will be calculated at checkout based on the size and delivery location.
Regional Shipping and Remote Areas
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout and vary depending on your location, order size, and product weight. Additional charges may apply for outlying or remote areas.
Failed Delivery Attempts
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to an incorrect address or recipient unavailability, additional re-delivery fees may apply. Please ensure that your shipping details and contact number are accurate when placing your order.
Once goods have been delivered and accepted by the recipient or authorised representative, risk and ownership pass to the customer.
Inspection on Delivery
Please inspect your order upon delivery and notify us immediately if any visible damage or missing components are noted.
Visible shipping damage should be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
2. Overview
At Mova (Pty) Ltd (“Mova”), we want you to love your purchase. If you are not entirely satisfied with your order, we are here to help.
This Shipping and Returns Policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and applies to all purchases made through our website.
By placing an order with Mova, you acknowledge and agree to this Shipping and Returns Policy and our Terms and Conditions available at www.movaliving.co.za/terms.
3. Return Eligibility
For online purchases, you may return unused items within 7 days of receiving your order if:
• The item is unused, in its original packaging, and in resalable condition.
• Packaging must be intact and undamaged. Torn, marked, or repackaged items cannot be accepted.
• The item was not a custom-made or sale item.
• You provide proof of purchase.
To initiate a return, we require photographs of the products and its original packaging (including the outer box) to confirm that the item is unused and in resalable condition.
For any items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect, please refer to Section 5 – Damaged or Defective Products, where claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
All returns are subject to your statutory rights under the CPA.
Returned products must be adequately packaged to avoid damage in transit; Mova (Pty) Ltd will not accept responsibility for goods damaged during return shipping due to inadequate packaging.
Please note that the original delivery charges are non-refundable. If a return is approved, the cost of the original shipping will be deducted from any refund issued.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
• Custom-made or made-to-order furniture
• Clearance or sale items (unless defective)
• Gift cards
• Assembled or damaged items not due to a manufacturing fault
• Products showing signs of use or improper handling
• Original packaging has been damaged
• Products purchased for commercial or rental use (unless defective)
5. Damaged or Defective Products
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item:
1. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery via info@movaliving.co.za
2. Include clear photos of the item and its packaging
3. Our team will review the claim and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where applicable
Defective goods are covered under a six-month implied warranty in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). During this period, customers may request a repair, replacement, or refund.
6. Return Process
To initiate a return:
1. Email info@movaliving.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
2. Await approval and return instructions from our team.
3. Package the item securely in its original packaging and keep it ready for collection.
4. Once the item has been received and inspected, we will process your refund or replacement where applicable.
For change-of-mind returns, Mova will arrange the return courier. The return shipping costs will be quoted to the customer and must be paid before the collection is scheduled. Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
If the return is due to a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, Mova will arrange and cover the cost of return shipping.
Please ensure the item is securely packaged in its original packaging for collection. Mova (Pty) Ltd cannot be held responsible for items damaged during return transit due to inadequate packaging.
7. Refunds
• Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item
• Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, where possible
• Original delivery charges are non-refundable
• Sales items and gift cards are non-refundable unless the item is defective
If the original payment method is no longer available or cannot be used for the refund, Mova will issue the refund via an alternative method or store credit of equivalent value.
8. Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
If you require an exchange for the same item, please email info@movaliving.co.za with your order number and details of the issue.
Exchange stock availability cannot be guaranteed. Where applicable, replacement lead times may apply for made-to-order items.
